What this site collects
Server logs. The web host records standard request data: IP address, browser user agent, the page requested, and the time. This is normal server operation and is used for security and diagnosing faults.
Comments. If you leave a comment, the name, email address, comment text, IP address, and browser user agent you submit are stored. The email address is never published. Comments are held for moderation before appearing.
Nothing on this site asks for payment details, and no account registration is offered to readers.
Cookies
This site sets a cookie to remember your light or dark theme choice. It contains only that preference and is stored in your browser. If you leave a comment, WordPress may set cookies to remember your name and email for next time.
Third parties named below may also set cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though your theme choice will not persist.
Advertising
This site plans to display advertising through Google AdSense and may use other advertising partners. When advertising is active, the following applies.

How long data is kept
Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so follow-up replies stay readable in context. Server logs are kept only as long as the host retains them.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of any personal data held about you, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to me through the contact page and say which you want. Deleting comment data removes the comment.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
